Dr. Craig Yager brings his expertise in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine to Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group. His primary focus is open and arthroscopic treatment of the shoulder and knee.

Dr. Yager is a native of northeast Missouri and attended the University of Missouri – Columbia as an undergraduate where he graduated cum laude with honors distinction. He then graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Kansas – Wichita. He then went on to receive advanced training by completing a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the San Diego Sports Medicine & Arthroscopy Fellowship in San Diego, CA. During this year, he assisted in the care of athletes at multiple levels, including the San Diego State Aztecs football team and the San Diego Gulls hockey club, the AHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks NHL hockey club.

He also assisted in providing medical coverage for events such as the NCAA March Madness basketball tournament, the PGA tour, and with many local community colleges and high schools.

Dr Yager is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. He looks forward to each day and the opportunity to continue pursuing his passion of treating athletes in the Colorado Springs community.

Dr. Yager is a proud husband and father who enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and son. He enjoys staying physically active, trying new hobbies, and traveling.
